Sector Manager

Sygneus supports deep-tech companies operating in complex, high-trust markets.

We work across defence, nuclear, CNI, and adjacent sectors, helping technical businesses convert capability into commercial traction and funded programmes.

We are looking for Sector Managers to help build and grow strategic customer accounts and sector presence across key markets including Defence, Nuclear, Energy, Aerospace, and Critical National Infrastructure (CNI).

This is a commercially focused role centred on relationship development, market positioning, pipeline generation, and opportunity conversion.

The Role

You will act as a strategic interface between Sygneus, our clients, and the wider market.

This is not transactional sales. The role requires someone capable of understanding complex technical capability, navigating stakeholder environments, and building long-term commercial momentum.

You will help clients access customers, frameworks, partners, and programmes that materially accelerate growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships across industry, government, and end-user organisations
  • Support pipeline generation and strategic account growth
  • Identify and qualify commercial opportunities
  • Coordinate with bid, technical, and delivery teams to progress opportunities
  • Represent Sygneus and client organisations externally
  • Support market analysis, positioning, and go-to-market activity
  • Help clients navigate procurement and stakeholder environments

Requirements

  • Experience in defence, nuclear, energy, aerospace, CNI, or adjacent sectors
  • Strong communication and relationship-building capability
  • Commercial awareness and strategic thinking
  • Ability to operate independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Technical literacy and ability to engage with engineering-focused organisations
